Tradition of Giving: Zabel Testimonial

Chris and Cheryl Zabel and their daughters (Hannah, class of 2011, and Caitlin, class of 2015) are deeply grateful for the quality education they have received, and the family giving tradition they have arranged through the Stout University Foundation will pass that gift on to future generations. "We have been hugely blessed, and we want to instill that appreciation in our children," Chris says.

Education is among several passions to which Chris and Cheryl direct their time and resources. Years ago they established an endowed family scholarship through the Stout University Foundation to ensure that other aspiring students have the chance to earn a quality education like UW-Stout and Cheryl's alma mater gave them. Their family took that legacy a step further, by Chris and Caitlin naming UW-Stout as the beneficiary of their life insurance policies.

Chris is a 1982 alum. Chris, Cheryl, and Caitlin are members of the Bowman Society for including UW-Stout in their estate plans.

"Giving to UW-Stout truly allows us to pursue our passion for education," Chris says.
